Baby Jetty

There is a creek that empties into Lake Erie, at Gratiot Point Park in Dunkirk, NY. Today, after church, with my nice dress pants all rolled up, I created the "baby Jetty" inspired by Robert Smithson's "Spiral Jetty" a huge sculpture in the Great Salt Lake, Utah. Read about it here: [link]

Mine is very small, and I hope to return to the park later this week to see if its in tact at all, (though combination of children, rain, tides, and gulls will probably distroy it.) I may add on to it. I know it doesn't even resemble the spiral of the real Jetty, but I'm happy i made it.

I'm sorry for the horrible photos, I only had my cell phone and a tiny purse that I was filling with beach glass. The camera was at home.

EDIT: haha, I made this on a Sunday. Went back the following Wednesday and the whole creek had shifted position and there was absolutly no sign of my baby jetty. I didn't think it would last, hahaha.
